Is This Transparency: New Rules

Effectively reporting on the Gulf oil spill is now a Class D felony, punishable by a fine of up to $40,000.

Big Government failure in one lesson. Why big government cannot do anything right. The OPA of 1990 was passed after the Exxon Valdez debacle, and supposed to stop this from ever happening again. OPA of 1990 spells out the president is supposed to take control of the emergency spill containment and cleanup. It was reasoned that only the responsible party could fix the leak. But the president could relive the burdens of red tape and missed signals.

Big government, massive incompetence, and threats, just to make sure you haven't figured out your now restricted 1st Amendment rights. And why wouldn't the Obowma administration want people to see what damage has really been done in the Gulf? You decide.

Here are the photos you should not see.

The US Constitution operated on two principles of keeping the federal government in check ... A free press, and the second amendment.
