Rangel On Healthcare Reparations

"Why do black people have to bargain for what is theirs? Why do we have to wait for the right to vote? Why can't we get what God has given us? And that is the right to live as human beings and not negotiate with white southerners and not court the votes. Just do the right thing," Rangel said.

The suggestion that no black people have healthcare is reprehensible on it's face. First off, there is SCHIP, Medicade, and yes employee healthecare among others. Hey Mr Rangel, did you know that many blacks have good paying jobs?

And what is it with the "what is theirs" thingy?

Obviously Rangel forgot the white southerners of which he speaks were Democrats, the very same that started up and operated the KKK from after the civil war until well into the 20th century. He just must think you didn't know. Never understood why blacks were drawn to the Democrat party, must be for the freebies they think they can get. You would think that some blacks would have figured out by now, the freebies never come.

Hey Charlie, about those back taxes and revenue hiding on your taxes ... What's the deal with that?

Reparations, Yes We Can

Reparations healthcare, reparations schools, robin hood economic reparations, reparations by another name, that's what Obama wants. That way you don't notice the payment for crimes you never committed, for laws you had no hand in passing, you had no voice on anything that took place over 150 years ago.

Mr. Obama said he believes the federal government shouldn't pursue reparations to the descendants of American slaves. He argued instead for spending such money on improving schools, health care, the economy and inner cities.

In other words, reparations.

"I have said in the past - and I'll repeat again - that the best reparations we can provide are good schools in the inner city and jobs for people who are unemployed," -- Obama

About a dozen members of Congress are sponsoring legislation that would create a commission to study reparations. The NAACP, as well as other black groups, support the legislation. The effort is led by Rep Conyers, who has been pushing this reparations tripe for years.

Reparations By Another Name

The favorite tactic of liberals is to get what they want, but not tell you what it really is. Case in point, this Obama speech ... Code for Reparations.

Democratic Candidate Barack Obama told a Chicago audience on Sunday he believes in reparations "not just in words but in deeds."

"There's no doubt that when it comes to our treatment of Native Americans as well as other persons of color in this country, we've got some very sad and difficult things to account for," Obama told hundreds of attendees of UNITY '08, a convention of four minority journalism associations.

The Hawaii-born senator, who has told local reporters that he supports the federal recognition bill for native Hawaiians drafted by U.S. Sen. Daniel Akaka, noted other ethnic groups but did not mention native Hawaiians when answering a question about his thoughts on a formal U.S. apology to American Indians.

"I personally would want to see our tragic history, or the tragic elements of our history, acknowledged," the Democratic presidential hopeful said.

"I consistently believe that when it comes to whether it's Native Americans or African-American issues or reparations, the most important thing for the U.S. government to do is not just offer words, but offer deeds."

Is there any one alive who needs to be held in account for the deeds of slavery. I think not. But yesterday, setting the stage, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution, pout forth by a white Democrat, Rep who faces a strong black candidate in the coming primary season, an apology for slavery. Now what the heck is that all about?

No the reparations may not be what is typically defined as such, but the general plan will be apparent to the taxpayer.
