Rick Perry has two more days before the next Republican primary debate, but he’s already trying to shape the battleground with his new 60-second ad. Instead of focusing on himself, he’s still hitting Mitt Romney where he is most vulnerable, on health care and conservative distrust of Romney’s commitment to core principles. In “Romney’s Remedy,” the slick production shows Barack Obama looking in a mirror to see a reflection of Romney staring back at him, with Romney’s own debate zinger floating in between the two images:

Gov. Rick Perry Speech to National VFW; Gives Special Salute to Heroes of Vietnam - 8/29/11



8/29/11 - Here is complete video of Texas Gov. Rick Perry's complete remarks to the National Veterans of Foreign Wars meeting in San Antonio, Texas. He thanked all of America's veterans and those serving in the military today. He went out of his way to give a special salute to the heroes of Vietnam.

Perry set out a doctrine of not sending U.S. Troops into battle without a plan to win and the resources to do so. He also said U.S. Troops should not be sent into harm's way under the command of foreign commanders. "American troops should be led by American commanders."
