Glenn was on Imus today to talk about his new book, “The Snow Angel,” but they spent all but about a few seconds talking about the state of the world today and whether we can find hope in any of the GOP candidates seeking to take down Barack Obama in 2012.
As always, Glenn and Imus were very entertaining.

Beck Defends Hank Williams jr
After listening to the audio again, Beck got passionate:
“There’s not a single adult in the media anymore,” he concluded.
You can watch the segment below:
“Now what does that mean, exactly? They’re opposites golfing! Hitler would not golf with Netanyahu, and Netanyahu wouldn’t have golfed with Hitler. Why? Because they’re polar opposites! So what he’s saying here is, Boehner was supposed to be a polar opposite to Barack Obama, but they get together to play golf. Which makes total sense because that‘s why he says he’s not for any of the GOP, because they’ve betrayed, they’re not polar opposites, that‘s what he’s saying here. But no, the geniuses at ABC [which owns ESPN] decide they‘re going to pull the ’Monday Night Football‘ theme because apparently you can’t say ‘Hitler.’ … I thought we got over that in the 1960s!”And then he went on to play “Springtime for Hitler and Germany” from the Mel Brooks classic musical, “The Producers.”
“There’s not a single adult in the media anymore,” he concluded.

Wall Street Journal: GBTV Already Has More Subscribers Than Oprah’s Network Has Viewers
Many people thought Glenn Beck might have been a little bit crazy (little bit?) to leave the safety and support of traditional cable television to launch his internet-based GBTV enterprise. But the news from the Wall Street Journal today may cause even the critics some pause.
Beck’s GBTV broadcast will launch at 5PM ET this afternoon, complete with an all-new chalkboards!
The complete Wall Street Journal article, well worth reading, is restricted to subscribers, but here is one nugget :

Glenn Beck Responds To New York Times Rumor
While Glenn confirmed that his current contract with Fox News will indeed expire in December of this year, one should be careful not to interpret that to mean he IS in fact leaving Fox News. Let us remember that contracts only expire if they are not first renewed before the deadline.
Glenn also had a message for his viewers and listeners that while things might change somewhere down the road, “…We will continue to find each other whether on the radio, on stage, in movie theaters, in the pages of books that the New York elite will never read- or on Fox.”
