The goal is to stop protest against the constitutional referendum manipulated by the Muslim Brotherhood. The military junta still has to approve the decree. Many fear an agreement between extremists and the army to maintain the country’s stability at the cost of freedom and democracy.

This is the cocky Google executive who thought he was going to bring “democracy” to Egypt.  Wael Ghoneim.  He was supposed to speak at the rally last Friday, but was instead quickly escorted away while the Muslim Brotherhood took over.

What?  Did you really think that getting rid of a dictator in Egypt would mean that democracy would magically appear?  In Egypt?  The country that has had slaves since time began?  Egypt?  Where the Jews were driven out?   Egypt?  Where torture is a considered a hobby?
