CNN Hosts Plays Words Against Ignorance

Obama advisor and CNN host/commentator Fareed Zakaria regurgitated his conservative-bashing Time magazine piece on his Sunday show Fareed Zakaria GPS by comparing conservatives to the Marxists of the 19th century.

As NewsBusters reports, Zakaria opened up his program with the same barrage against conservatives that he launched in Time on Friday, namely that today's conservatism is woefully divorced from reality like the Marxists of the 19th century, and that "conservatives now resemble the old Marxists who refuse to look at actual experience."



Proves how dumb that CNN must think their audience is.

Here is who this Indian-American is, who apparently doesn't know much about what a Marxist is:

Before the 2008 U. S. Presidential election, Zakaria endorsed Barack Obama on his CNN program. In May 2011 it was revealed in The New York Times that President Obama "has sounded out as an advisor" Zakaria concerning Middle East issues in meetings with him.

Zakaria points to the Chinese Communists for direction as the "world's fastest-growing economy." He touts that they have "managed to use government involvement to create growth and jobs for three decades."

Democrats And Energy

Congressional Democrat Marxists have been blocking oil drilling by making monuments of the oil bearing ground, examples of pollution of all new refineries and scaremongering new nuclear power plant construction by constricting options for waste storage. Can't people think for themselves any more?

That would be historic lows for the Reid-Pelosi Congress. This should be a gift to the Republican congressional-election committees, if anyone over there knew how to take advantage of it.

Plugging the Pipeline

Anyone who's not sure why gasoline prices are so high has the opportunity to see a real-time reason being played out in public as an environmental group sues over the expansion of a refinery.

The Natural Resources Defense Council is asking a federal judge to stop construction of BP's planned $3.8 billion expansion — not a new facility — of its Whiting refinery in northwest Indiana. The group claims BP needs a more restrictive air permit from the state because the refinery would discharge far more pollution than what it's been approved for.

In addition to shutting down construction, the NRDC wants BP fined $32,500 a day for each day it has been under construction without the more restrictive permit.

Short Lesson In How Propaganda Works

Here is a BLOOMBERG HEADLINE: Foreclosures Rose 53% in June, Bank Seizures Tripled ...

U.S. foreclosure filings increased 53 percent in June from a year earlier and bank seizures rose the most on record as deteriorating property values and higher rates on adjustable mortgages forced more people to give up their homes.

More than 252,000 properties, or one in 501 U.S. households, entered a stage of the foreclosure process, RealtyTrac Inc., a seller of default data, said today in a statement.

Scary huh, well that's the purpose, scary headline, much less scary FACTS. Second paragraph, notice how it doesn't seem to match the headline ... one in 501 homes are being foreclosed, that's 0.2% if you can do math, which may not be the case if you recently graduated from government schools.

Most don't read past the first paragraph, the propagandist count on that as well.

FACTS -- 0.2% of homes all home loans is being foreclosed, probably loans to unqualified illegal immigrants that should have never been made, people buying up in the bubble, or made to unlucky flippers. Either way, it's surly not the crisis the headline portends.

The issue is one of how propaganda works -- To be effective, you need to divert attention from the real problem, crippling energy costs, to as many fictitious problems as you can dredge up. Even more so, because the real problem, crippling energy costs, is first caused by your Democrat party, and the fix is also blocked by your Democrat party -- It's easy to understand once you figure out the drive-by media is nothing more than the propaganda arm of the DNC.

The real issue with America's soft economy is ENERGY COSTS. The Democrat party has worked for 30 years, using their partners in the environmental Marxist groups, to constraint and constrict energy supplies. No drilling, no refineries, no nuclear power, what did you think would happen to America's growing economy?

Did you know that environmental law suits can only be brought by these environmental Marxist groups, like Friends of the Earth, who were given standing to sue by statue by the Democrats in Congress back in the 70s? Yes that's right, using "standing" the law suits can go forward against any company or land owner the environmental Marxists want, and you can't sue them. Most of these groups are nothing more than front groups for lawyers and tax free fundraising enterprises. How cool a scam is that?

Bay can no longer supply the quantity of You want to fix the economy, fix energy supplies, and I don't mean build windmills. The Alaska pipeline now runs at less than 50% capacity because the wells at Prudhoe Bay can no longer keep it full. Originally they thought that Prudhoe Bay would yield up 10 Billion barrels of crude oil, they have now been able to pump out 15 billion barrels, but the end is in sight. They need to drill about 70 miles away, in that wasteland the Democrats have labeled ANWR, it's a wasteleand, not good for anything including animals. Building the 74 mile connector pipe is said to require about 2 years, easy build, it's flat wasteland.

The mortgage foreclosure lies are being repeated, without the qualifying FACTS, on the radio as well, the hourly news says what the Bloomberg headline above says, with basically no more information provided. It's a very dark picture painted for the uniformed.

Drill here, drill now, pay less -- get America's economy moving. Look here is the Democrat's 2008 election plan in one sentence --- "It's Bush's recession". You buying it?

The Democrat Marxist plan to control America's economy with a top down command and control structure, ala Soviet Union of old, is hitting some bumps. Along with a matching 9% favorability rating, breaking all previous records for most disliked Congress. Nancy and Harry are in virgin territory here.

After their secret plan to lower gas prices failed, honest injun there really was a secret plan right before the 2006 election, the Democrats before the 4th of July break said they had all the answers and would let America know right after they got back. OK, they are back, and we would like to know. What do the no-drill, no-refineries , no-nuclear power plant, America has no-future, wing of the lunatic Democrat party have for us, can we see? You see the new secret energy plan was complicated by them wasscally Republicans who wanted to drill and build America's energy future.

House Democrats are in a bind on the focal point of their energy plan.

Worried that a floor vote on any energy-related measure would trigger a Republican-forced vote on domestic drilling, the leadership has scrubbed the floor schedule of the energy legislation that it vowed to tackle after the Fourth of July recess.

Just before leaving for their districts, a number of House Democrats called a press conference to declare victory on a number of energy bills — including overwhelming passage of a bill to rein in excessive oil market speculation.

Uh huh, you heard right, the super secret plan II to increase America's oil supplies was to reign in excessive oil market speculation and oil company windfall profits. Shades of Jimmy Carter who did such a bang up job with energy he moved on to foreign policy where he installed to lovable little fuzzballs, Mugabe and the Iranian mullahs, for all the world's peoples to marvel at. Yes, you can check, Jimmy Carter really did that.

Democrats declared victory on a bill they failed to pass on the suspension calendar — their “use it or lose it bill” to force energy companies to either start drilling on their federally leased land or give it back — saying they had put 176 Republicans on record as siding with the oil companies over consumers.

And they vowed that the bill, the centerpiece of their energy message, would be back.

“We’ve taken some bold steps this week, and we’re going to build on that [after recess] with the bills we take up,” Democratic Caucus Vice Chairman John Larson (Conn.) said at the press conference.

But, as of Monday afternoon, neither “use it or lose it” nor any other energy measure had been scheduled for floor action this week.

Democrats said they were simply taking a different approach to passing their top energy-related priorities.

So what about that super duper going to solve all things energy miraculous plan ...

“Right now, our strategy on gas prices is ‘Drive small cars and wait for the wind,’ ” said a Democratic aide.

Larger families will need to take two, they are small, but you can always lash them up in tandem and if you get hit by a truck, maybe half the family will escape the flattening.

Meanwhile, in other areas, global warming is growing bigger and stronger glaciers ...

Reaching more than 14,000 feet above sea level, Mount Shasta is one of the state's tallest peaks, dominating the landscape of high plains and conifer forests in far Northern California. Nearby Indian tribes referred to its glaciers as the footsteps made by the creator when he descended to Earth. Hikers flock to Shasta every summer to scale them.

With glaciers retreating in the Sierra Nevada, the Rocky Mountains and elsewhere in the Cascades, those on Mount Shasta — a volcanic peak at the southern end of the Cascade range — are actually benefiting from changing weather patterns over the Pacific Ocean.

I skipped over the AP tripe, obligatory salutations to the Goracle and other nonsense and just gave you the money quote. They couldn't bring themselves to say it outright, but the glaciers on Mt Shasta are growing, just like glaciers elsewhere in the world. It's a troubling sign for the warmists, so you can't expect them to take it all at once.

Jive Talking never solved anything. Who believes the Democrats are going to win it all come November. With a 9% approval rating they will be lucky to hang on. Once America gets a real clear picture of the obstructionist ways of the last 30 years, bye bye. To Democrats, climate change is their weapon of choice, their enemy is the American people.
