Romney Praises Obama’s “Race to the Top” on Wednesday – Denies It On Thursday (Video)

On Wednesday former Gov Mitt Romney praised Barack Obama’s “Race to the Top” program at a campaign stop.

The Politico reported:
Speaking at a town hall meeting in Miami on Wednesday a day ahead of the third Republican presidential debate...
At the event, Romney also praised Obama’s education secretary for the Race to the Top program that rewards state education systems for reaching specific goals. “I think Secretary Duncan has done some good things,” he said. “I hope that’s not heresy in this room.”
But, on Thursday, at the debate on FNC-Google, he denied this.



If you want to go to the point, 3:40. Romney said one thing yesterday and the opposite on Thursday. Romney has a problem with keeping things straight.

Speaking at a town hall meeting in Miami on Wednesday a day ahead of the third Republican presidential debate in as many weeks, Mitt Romney talked up his bipartisan credentials, name-dropping Franklin Roosevelt and Obama Education Secretary Arne Duncan and touting his time working with Democrats in the Massachusetts statehouse.

Asked how he would work to elect a GOP majority in the Senate, Romney stressed his record working with Massachusetts legislative Democrats and said he could do it again in Washington.

“It would be nice to have my party in power,” Romney said. “But I’m not going to ignore the other party.”
