Unions: The Flaw In Their Political Power

You see, the avergae member knows, if they get laid off they are screwed, if the company goes bust they are screwed. Bring in the cameras:





It's what happens, the leadership begins to put their goals above their memberships jobs.

And that's what screws unions. It's not the that collective bargaining for the members is bad per se. It's that the leadership becomes absorbed in self serving politics and put their short term political interests ahead of the long term interests of the membership. example, GM, they forgot to tell the membership they were bankrupting the company, and their benefits were dependent on the company continuing as a viable business. Sort of like econ 101.

But the better short term contract I get you, the more money I get, oh and vote me back in, before YOU get laid off, will ya. Comprehenda?
