To embarrass Bush, inflame passions against the war, the media was all in, gung ho, get those casket picture out there, make a big stink -- But after Bush, the impassioned advocates of showing the true human cost of war grew tired of the story. Fewer and fewer photographers showed up. "It's really fallen off," says Lt. Joe Winter, spokesman for the Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations Center at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, where all war dead are received. "The flurry of interest has subsided."
The whole thing was a sorry contrivance of a stupid media that thinks people still rely on them for truth. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Story here.
With our soldiers deaths in Afghanistan at all time highs, the "right war to fight", according to Obama, it now looks like Obama is far more interested in going to Europe and doing a sales call, pitching for the Olympics for Chicago than anything else ... It's what you would refer to as childish lack of responsibility.
