Obama to G-20: We Must Act Fast on Crisis

Does anyone else find it a little odd that the ACTING giggling president would publish an OP-Ed in 30 newspapers worldwide. Is this a communication tool, or is TOTUS in need of another way to communicate, since talking does not seem to be his strong suit.

Newser reports:
President Obama published an op-ed piece in more than 30 newspapers worldwide today, urging the G-20 nations to take immediate, bold action to fix the economy. “The United States is ready to lead,” he wrote in the Los Angeles Times, among others, “and we call on our partners to join us with a sense of urgency.” Included was a call for broad stimulus action—something the European Central Bank opposes.

“We cannot settle for the status quo,” he continued, demanding increased regulation, transparency, and a check on “out-of-control compensation,” along with a crackdown on offshore tax havens and money laundering. “America bears its share of responsibility for the mess that we all face,” he said. But “the nations of the world have a stake in one another,” and together can face the challenges.
The LA Times has a copy of the full article, written by who is not known. The by-line is Barack Obama, but hey who knows who really put pen to paper. The smallness of it all is demonstrated by a direct copy of the first few lines:

We are living through a time of global economic challenges that cannot be met by half-measures or the isolated efforts of any nation. Now, the leaders of the G-20 have a responsibility to take bold, comprehensive and coordinated action that not only jump-starts recovery but launches a new era of economic engagement to prevent a crisis like this from ever happening again.
Catchy title, don't you think?

Really odd TOTUS is.
