Let The Fraud Begin

Bigger than the "Oil for WMDs" program run out of the UN, the new cap and trade nonsense is in runaway waste mode already. As many predicted it would, billions are being spent on fraudulent schema designed to offset the carbon footprints of businesses and little or no offsetting is happening. Imagine that.

Who knew that this was just going to turn into the biggest fraud scam ever.

Billions wasted on UN climate programme

Billions of pounds are being wasted in paying industries in developing countries to reduce climate change emissions, according to two analyses of the UN's carbon offsetting programme.

Leading academics and watchdog groups allege that the UN's main offset fund is being routinely abused by chemical, wind, gas and hydro companies who are claiming emission reduction credits for projects that should not qualify. The result is that no genuine pollution cuts are being made, undermining assurances by the UK government and others that carbon markets are dramatically reducing greenhouse gases, the researchers say.

The criticism centres on the UN's clean development mechanism (CDM), an international system established by the Kyoto process that allows rich countries to meet emissions targets by funding clean energy projects in developing nations.

And heating costs, don't want to go there, with the cold weather coming on fast. This bill is the single biggest threast to freedom ever produced by the US COngress, all in the name of paying more in taxes, so government will pretend to control the weather. How cool is that. And to add insult to injury, the new tax money gets funnelled into Democrat Socialism projects, like the Peace Corp and 'free health care'.
