How Bad Are Agricultural Fires ?

While we talk ourselves silly about CO2, which is not a pollutant and causes no harm, we never mention the worldwide practice of agricultural fires. These fires are purpose set for land clearing and to burn off old crops in the spring. Probably a lot of the land clearing is done in hopes of cashing in on the hoax of ethanol and other biofuels.

On April 7, 2008, smoke from hundreds of fires mingled with clouds over eastern India (left), Myanmar (center), and China (right). Black lines show the country borders.

Locations where the MODIS on NASA’s Aqua satellite detected fires are marked in red. Most of the fires are likely human-caused, either agricultural fires or accidental forest fires.

I wonder why no one wants to talk about this massive pollution and deforestation?
