CO2 levels Dropping ?
Is the monthly mean CO2 level as reported by the Mauna-Loa observatory levelling off or even dropping? Cold weather does cause the ocean to re-absorb CO2. Is it also possible that the CO2 levels are not because of mankind's fossil fuel burning? Could be, it brings up that possibility, fossil fuel burning has increased recently as people chose not to freeze this winter. Full story at Watts Up With That.
There are plenty of scientists who say that the CO2 in the atmosphere is mostly natural. If you look at the MODIS website and survey all the agricultural fires that are burning worldwide at any given time, tough call. But agricultural fires deliver not only huge amounts of CO2 to the atmosphere, but tons of smoke, haze and particulate matter.
I link to the MODIS public image site on my sidebar, you can find MODIS here.
