Chile: Huge 8.8 Mag quake Hits

SANTIAGO, Chile – A devastating magnitude-8.8 earthquake struck Chile early Saturday, shattering buildings and bridges, killing at least 78 people and setting off a tsunami that threatened every nation around the Pacific Ocean — roughly a quarter of the globe.

Chilean TV showed devastating images of the most powerful quake to hit the country in a half-century: In the second city of Concepcion trucks plunged into the fractured earth, homes fell, bridges collapsed and buildings were engulfed in flames. Injured people lay in the streets or on stretchers.

Dozens are reported killed, but that number is likely to climb. Maybe the earth wants to show the global warming hoaxers who is really boss.

The Census Is Getting Personal

This is an expose' of the Census Bureau. This video itemizes the fundamental legal questions that the Census Bureau refuses or fails to answer about its collection and use of personal information from every American (see questions below). This program aired on Matrix News Network (syndicated national television) in January of 2010.

Without any apparent authority the Census Bureau has expanded it's information gathering activities. In addition to the once-in-10-years Census authorized by the Constitution, the Census Bureau conducts more in-depth "Surveys" of 250,000 Americans every month of every year. It has no Constitutional authority for that, in fact the Bureau is violating the 4th Amendment to the Bill of Rights by suggesting that Americans are "obligated" to provide any personal information whatsoever to government.

The Constitution allows the government to count people once every ten years, but does not require any American to BE COUNTED, OR TO PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION AT ALL, much less to provide personal information to the temporary worker and stranger who comes to your door with a Census Bureau badge.

Americans have been given very false impressions and presumptions of the authority of government to invade their lives. Even the Census takers themselves are sometimes misinformed of the limits of government.

Once your information is out there, it is out there for good. There is no such thing as a "secure database" in government. Government data is bought, lost, stolen and viewed every day by everyone from law enforcement to criminals at all levels of society. Spill your life to strangers at your front door or on the "questionnaire" at your own risk. Beyond that is the question, if we agree to pass over our private information to bureaucrats, is there any limit to what they will ask for next?

My reason for producing this video and for posting it on YouTube is that I see so many people everywhere who don't seem to understand that the USA has become something very different than the country of our origin, and we have ALREADY lost many of the rights and freedoms that were given to us by nature (God?) and were protected for us again in our Constitution. Our Constitutional framers never imagined the spending, waste, taxation intrusion and aggression that our government now commits without restraint.

How did that happen? When our government pushes us we fail to push back so, after many decades of that, government simply sees no boundaries at all on its own presumed force and authority.

It is our government. It is our servant. Government can have no authority but that which it derives from us. But government employees, officials and representatives do need to be reminded of that on a regular basis.

There is a pdf file of the Census Bureau's AMERICAN COMMUNITY SURVEY Questionnairre at:
http://www.census.gov/acs/www/SBasics...
If you are not disturbed by the questions they will ask you then you are not reading it carefully.

QUESTIONS THAT THE CENSUS BUREAU REFUSED OR FAILED TO ANSWER (from Jerry Day's Matrix News Network segment: "The Census Is Getting Personal") I strongly suggest asking these questions of your Census Taker, especially if they show up with an "American Community Survey" form:

1) The Constitution authorizes government to count people but it does not authorize the taking of private information or even the names of individuals. From where does the Census Bureau derive authority to demand our private information?

2) Is there any limit to the amount and type of private information that the Census bureau may demand and collect?

3) Under what Constitutional authority does the Census Bureau collect information now from 250,000 people per month of every year?

4) The 4th Amendment to the Constitution prohibits government search and seizure of private information without a court warrant based on probable cause. Current Census policies violate that Amendment do they not?

5) By what Constitutional authority does the Census Bureau threaten penalties for failure to provide personal information?

6) The Census Bureau claims it maintains privacy of personal information. Are there any circumstances under which law enforcement or spy agencies can access Census information?

7) Since presumably Census data may be subpoenaed by law enforcement, may individuals refuse to answer questions according to the fifth Amendment?

8) Why has the Census Bureau decided to collect GPS coordinates for every home?

9) Virtually every government database has been either lost, hacked or compromised. Would the Census Bureau's claim of data security not be an outright lie or at best highly improbable?

10) How would the Census Bureau locate, protect and compensate those individuals whose data becomes compromised?

Obama on Reconciliation: "The American People Aren't Always That Interested in the Procedures Inside the Senate"

"Most Americans think a majority vote makes sense"

McCain: "There have been reconciliations but not at the level of the issue of this magnitude, I think it could harm the future of our country and our institution which I love a great deal for a long, long time"

Obama: "This issue of reconciliation has been brought up, again, I think the American people aren't always all that interested in procedures inside the Senate, I do think they want a vote...I think that most Americans think a majority vote makes sense"

If I had been there, I would have walked out. I have said it before and I will say it again, Obama thinks he is speaking to a bunch of ignorant shoeless Kenyans -- It's who he is.

Junk Debt ‘Wall’ to Trigger U.S. Defaults, Bank of America Says

A “wall” of junk debt maturing in the next four years will increase the risk of corporate defaults in the U.S., according to Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

More than $600 billion of high-yield bonds and loans are due to be repaid between 2012 and 2014, New York-based analysts Oleg Melentyev and Mike Cho wrote in a note to clients. Almost 90 percent of loans outstanding mature in the next five years, compared with an average of 36 percent between 2005 and 2009, according to the report.

“While the wall-shaped schedule of future maturities is nothing new for the high-yield issuer universe, it is more front-loaded today,” the analysts said. “This could result in additional default pressures further down the road as issuers deal with a higher concentration of maturities than they what they have been dealing with in the past.”

The looming payments stem from companies shifting their loans to shorter maturities of three to five years, compared with five to seven years in the past, they said.

Democrats On Nuclear Option

It was so much fun before the Democrats decided to pull the trigger on their nuclear option. Since the lame stream media will no longer do the watchdog role for America, it is vitally important the citizens take up the role.

Obama Vaporware: New Government Lies And Rationing Of Health Care Plan, Unscorable Says CBO Chief - New Plan Same As Old Plan

Because it's all vapor ...
The Obama Administration’s Health Care Proposal

This morning the Obama Administration released a description of its health care proposal, and CBO has already received several requests to provide a cost estimate for that proposal. We had not previously received the proposal, and we have just begun the process of reviewing it—a process that will take some time, given the complexity of the issues involved. Although the proposal reflects many elements that were included in the health care bills passed by the House and the Senate last year, it modifies many of those elements and also includes new ones. Moreover, preparing a cost estimate requires very detailed specifications of numerous provisions, and the materials that were released this morning do not provide sufficient detail on all of the provisions. Therefore, CBO cannot provide a cost estimate for the proposal without additional detail, and, even if such detail were provided, analyzing the proposal would be a time-consuming process that could not be completed this week.
And why exactly would you expect Obama to tell the truth? So Obama says it will cost only $950 billion in more deficits, how would he know?

And furthermore, the Obama plan has more rationing in it than the Pelosi plan, in order to give way back to the Pelosi plan. It's the schemes that are laughable, the Overton Windows which probably not many had heard of before now. Read about it.

Obama: More Climate Lies

Today our dear reader -- Responding to a question, the President declared:
I want to just be clear that the science of climate change doesn't mean that every place is getting warmer…But...Vancouver, which is supposed to be getting snow during the Olympics, suddenly is at 55 degrees.
But the problem was explained in 2003, after winning the winter games, by none other than Vancouver's Newspaper:
Winter Olympics all wet?:

Vancouver has the mildest climate of any Winter Games venue

By Chad Skelton, Vancouver Sun

When Vancouver plays host to the Olympic Games six-and-a-half years from now, it will mark a peculiar milestone -- as the least wintery city ever to host the Winter Games.

Statistics compiled by The Vancouver Sun indicate that no city with a climate as mild as Vancouver's has ever hosted the Winter Games.

Past Olympics have been held in picturesque, snowy towns full of residents bundled up in ski gear.
I wonder if Obama knew he was lying, or was it just another in his long list of shuck and jive off the cuff boners.

House Republican Leader John Boehner: Obama’s Health Care Proposal Jeopardizes Summit

Republican Leader John Boehner released this statement following the news that Barack Obama and democrats are proposing their same massive government takeover of the health care industry that was already rejected by the American public. Rasmussen in this Feb 11, 2010 poll puts the polls at 58% against, 39% for. Obama Rasmussen Obama approval now stands at 45%.

From The Republican Leader’s webpage:

GOP Leader: “The President has crippled the credibility of this week’s summit by proposing the same massive government takeover of health care based on a partisan bill the American people have already rejected.”

Washington, Feb 22 – House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) issued the following statement in response to the partisan health care proposal posted online by the White House for discussion at the upcoming bipartisan health care summit:

“The President has crippled the credibility of this week’s summit by proposing the same massive government takeover of health care based on a partisan bill the American people have already rejected. This new Democrats-only backroom deal doubles down on the same failed approach that will drive up premiums, destroy jobs, raise taxes, and slash Medicare benefits.

“This week’s summit clearly has all the makings of a Democratic infomercial for continuing on a partisan course that relies on more backroom deals and parliamentary tricks to circumvent the will of the American people and jam through a massive government takeover of health care.

“The best way to protect families and small businesses in this time of economic uncertainty is to start over with a step-by-step approach to health care reform focused on lowering costs, and that’s exactly what Republicans are fighting for. The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office has confirmed that the Republican bill reduces premiums for families and small businesses by up to 10 percent. The Republican bill reduces premiums by implementing common-sense reforms such as allowing Americans to purchase insurance across state lines. Despite their rhetoric to the contrary, none of the Democrats’ proposals – including the President’s – provides this much-needed reform in a manner that can actually be effective.

“Republicans are also standing with the American people by calling for health care reform to protect human life and not use taxpayer money to fund abortion. The Republican bill would codify the Hyde Amendment and prohibit all authorized and appropriated federal funds from being used to pay for abortion, which the President’s proposal would allow. Pro-life Democrats in the House have already pledged to vote against this provision. Health care reform should be an opportunity to protect human life – not end it – and the American people agree.”

The Obama plan proposed this morning still contains Senator Landrieu’s $300 million Louisiana Purchase. But Senator Ben Ben Nelson's 'Cornhusker Kickback' bribe is missing after he complained widely about it's inclusion. The simple fact is they took place is all you need know about the Obama process.

Failed Ideologues: The Health Insurance System Is NOT Broken, It's Democrat Commies Who Are Broken

George Will pointed out to his leftist co-panelists on on ABC’s “This Week” that people only talk about the government being broken when the Left is having trouble enacting its agenda. Weird how 'failed government always shows up when Democrats fail at passing their crap that America does not want. Like Health Care, which falls well below what America really does want, the economy fixed and jobs. Put America back to work, fire the commie Democrats,

And the laughter of the day 'too much partisanship' ...

NewsBusters reported:
TERRY MORAN, HOST: There’s a sense that something is broken in Washington summed up this week by Senator Evan Bayh (D-Ind.) who announced his retirement. I think it’s fair to say he’s leaving in disgust. Here’s what he had to say.

SENATOR EVAN BAYH, (D-IND.): I have had a growing conviction that Congress is not operating as it should. There is much too much partisanship, and not enough progress. Too much narrow ideology, and not enough practical problem solving. Even at a time of enormous national challenge, the people’s business is not getting done.

MORAN: Is he right, George?

GEORGE WILL: Well, it’s hard to take a lecture on bipartisanship from a man who voted against the confirmation of Chief Justice Roberts, the confirmation of Justice Alito, the confirmation of Attorney General Ashcroft, the confirmation of Condoleezza Rice as Secretary of State. Far from being a rebel against his Party’s lockstep movement, Mr. Bayh voted for the Detroit bailout, for the stimulus, for the public option in the healthcare bill. I don’t know quite what his complaint is, but, Terry, with metronomic regularity, we go through these moments in Washington where we complain about the government being broken. These moments have one thing in common: The Left is having trouble enacting its agenda. No one when George W. Bush had trouble reforming Social Security said, “Oh, that’s terrible – the government’s broken.”

VIDEO National Journal: Charlie Cook Interview

NJ: But the Tea Party movement only represents a small part of the voting population, right?

Cook: It's hard to nail down exactly what percentage they are, but I don't think they constitute a majority of conservatives, a majority of Republicans or a majority of independents. But the thing is, they did break through.... I think opposition might have come to a slower boil had it not been for the Tea Party movement that moved it right up to the front pages and some of the lead stories on the evening newscast.

NJ: Are there areas where you might see a Republican nominee who is too far to the right?

Cook: Where you have Republican incumbents who may have voted for TARP, you're going to have some potential probleme spots. Part of it is, we're reaching here a little bit. Because, yes, the Republican Party, they've got some huge brand problems, where their brand got badly damaged during the eight years of President Bush and the six years the Republicans had the majority in Congress.... But if I had a choice of the Republican Party's problems right now or the Democratic Party's problems, I think you could triple the Republican Party's problems and I'd still rather have their problems than the problems facing Democrats.

Here Comes Inflation: Fed Bumps Interest Rate

The Federal Reserve decided Thursday to boost the rate banks pay for emergency loans. The action is part of a broader move to pull back the extraordinary aid it provided to fight the worst financial and economic crisis since the 1930s.

The Fed portrayed its action as moving its emergency program for banks closer to normal. But the markets saw it initially as a prelude to higher borrowing costs across the board.

Today the January producer price index went up 1.4%, annualized at 16.8% -- which if it keeps up, will soon be close to the inflation rate.

SPIRIT UPDATE: Spirit Parks for the Winter - sols 2166-2170, February 5-9, 2010:

Spirit is now parked for the winter in the embedded area called "Troy" on the west side of Home Plate.

The last winter-preparatory movement of the rover was commanded on Sol 2169 (Feb. 8, 2010). The rover was commanded to flatten the suspension system on the right side and accentuate the suspension wheelie on the left side, all to enhance northerly tilt. Very little change in tilt was achieved.

At this point, the project is now adjusting various rover parameters and positioning the robotic arm for the winter period. The communication window for various fault conditions has been adjusted to the optimal time of day during the coldest part of the winter. A special table of long-range UHF communication passes is being developed to cover the entire winter period and beyond.

As of Sol 2170 (Feb. 9, 2010), the rover solar array energy production was to 185 watt-hours with an atmospheric opacity (tau) of 0.292 and a dust factor of 0.527. Total odometry is 7,730.50 meters (4.80 miles).

OPPORTUNITY UPDATE: Opportunity Studies 'Chocolate Hills' Rock - sols 2145-2151, February 4-10, 2010:

Opportunity is exploring around the rim of the very young crater "Concepcion."

On Sol 2145 (Feb. 4, 2010), the rover made a 10-meter (33-foot) approach to a rock target called "Chocolate Hills." This rock target is of interest because it exhibits a dark rind or crust that may be impact melt. On Sol 2147 (Feb. 6, 2010), Opportunity completed a 2-meter (7-foot) short approach to bring the target within the work volume of the robotic arm (IDD). On Sol 2149 (Feb. 8, 2010), the rover performed a small turn-in-place to position the target within reach of the IDD with its 4-degree-of-freedom azimuth limitations. On the next sol, the IDD collected a Microscopic Imager (MI) mosaic of the dark rind and then placed the Alpha Particle X-ray Spectrometer (APXS) for an integration. On the following sol, another set of Microscopic Imager mosaics were collected and then the Mössbauer (MB) spectrometer focused on the target called "Aloya."

The right-front wheel currents continue to be well-behaved. No improvement has been observed yet in the miniature thermal emission spectrometer (Mini-TES) elevation mirror, which continues to be opened regularly to allow cleaning by the wind.

As of Sol 2151 (Feb. 10, 2010), the solar array energy production was 306 watt-hours with an atmospheric opacity (tau) of 0.388 and a dust factor of 0.487. Total odometry is 19,335.35 meters (12 miles).

Millennials are the largest generation in American history. Born between 1978 and 2000, WE are 95 million strong, compared to the 78 million Baby Boomers.

WE are politically, socially, and philosophically independent, and are spearheading a period of sweeping change in America and around the world.

The new book, Generation We, explains the emerging power of our Millennial Generation, and shows how WE (and older people who think the way WE do) are poised to change our nation and our world for the better.
So I assume that the smarter than everyone 'we generation' knows that the physics of CO2 absorption disproves their favorite hoax, man caused global warming, as a total fraud? He is a refresher for the smartest generation eva. I doubt any of these ignorant, self obsessed fools could design the computer chips they think they know how to use.

Glenn Beck: New Al Gore Poem About The D.C. Snow Storm By Pat Gray.

The Biggest AGW Whopper Of Them All

... the biggest scandal in the IPCC’s closet remains its 1995 claim to finding a “discernible human influence” on the earth’s changing climate. Lead author Ben Santer of the Lawrence Livermore government laboratory inserted those words—after the IPCC’s consulting scientists had signed off on a draft that specifically said no such “human fingerprint” had been found!

Santer deliberately reversed the meaning of the whole IPCC 1995 report—and the trajectory of every IPCC document since. He claimed the rewrite was justified by two of his own studies. However, Santer’s papers “cherry-picked” the earth’s temperature record from 1963–1987, ignoring the earlier and later temperatures that didn’t confirm the Greenhouse theory! Thus the IPCC’s whole claim of a “discernible human influence” remains without scientific support to this day.

National Parks Gun Ban Ends

February 22, 2010 the federal gun ban in National Parks, ends. On Feb. 22, 2010 the long-standing ban on guns in national parks and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service-administered wildlife refuges will lift, thanks to an amendment Congress attached last year to a credit-card reform bill. The add-on requires parks and refuges to conform to state gun-carry laws.

So self defense will now be legally allowed in National Parks.

Gorbamastein

Now, as the Gorbamastein monster they created runs amuck, destroying both their careers and credibility, rueful Democrats may wish to remember a line from Frankenstein, this one in a frantic warning to the good doctor: "You have created a monster, and it will destroy you!"

"Frankenstein" became the very symbol of an out-of-control, sinister and frighteningly powerful dehumanized creature, its creator a man of arrogant intelligence who knew no boundaries as he went about the business of creating a monster synonymous with bringing horrifying death and destruction wherever it went.

So too is it the case with the political monster that must surely be called "Gorbamastein" -- a terrifyingly out-of-control political creature stitched together from parts of dead ideas, concocted out of the abnormal brain that is the combined intellectual arrogance exhibited by both Gore, Obama, and their allies. The resulting monster let loose on the American political landscape is now relentlessly destroying both political careers and credibility in one terrifying political disaster after another for Democrats, with voters furiously turning on the monster even as the monster turns on its creators.

First Time Ever: Lake Erie Could Freeze Over

The power is running out on the Lake Erie snow machine.

And more cold weather could just about pull the plug on it.

The lake is about 90 to 95 percent ice-covered, and more cold temperatures forecast for the next week or so could freeze the entire lake, National Weather Service meteorologists in Cleveland said.

"We're thinking it probably will ice over the rest of the way,'' said weather service meteorologist Karen Oudeman.

Weather service meteorologist Robert LaPlante said Tuesday that the remaining open area extends from Long Point, Ontario, southeast to the New York state shoreline. Satellite images also indicate some waters just north and east of Erie, off Pennsylvania, are also ice-free.

Wind Energy's Ghosts

Dead and broken Windmills at Kamaoa

American Thinker author Andrew Walden writes -- Bankrupt Europe has a lesson for Congress about wind power.

Wiwo...wiwo...wiwo.

The sound floats on the winds of Ka Le, this southernmost tip of Hawaii's Big Island, where Polynesian colonists first landed some 1,500 years ago.

Some say that Ka Le is haunted -- and it is. But it's haunted not by Hawaii's legendary night marchers The mysterious sounds are "Na leo o Kamaoa"-- the disembodied voices of 37 skeletal wind turbines abandoned to rust on the hundred-acre site of the former Kamaoa Wind Farm

So not only is costs of installing the windmills way out of line with any possible return, but even in a place where wind-shaped trees grow sideways, maintenance issues and costs are overwhelming, and bankrupting the companies with the high hopes of riches from wind.

The windmills also quit working when it gets really cold, sigh.

I wonder why all these renewable energy plants were abandoned -- More photos of abandoned wind farms here.

UK's NHS For Peasants Only

Want to see what ObamaCare looks like in the real world? Look to the UK's NHS for details. Seems once the health system gets completely screwed up, the government workers just go and get around the screw ups, all in the name of fixing the screw-ups I am sure.

THE National Health Service has spent £1.5m paying for hundreds of its staff to have private health treatment so they can leapfrog their own waiting lists.

More than 3,000 staff, including doctors and nurses, have gone private at the taxpayers’ expense in the past three years because the queues at the clinics and hospitals where they work are too long.

Figures released under the Freedom of Information act show that NHS administrative staff, paramedics and ambulance drivers have also been given free private healthcare. This has covered physiotherapy, osteopathy, psychiatric care and counselling — all widely available on the NHS.

“It simply isn’t fair to have one service for staff and another for everyone else,” said Norman Lamb, the Liberal Democrat health spokesman, who obtained the figures.

Video: IPCC chairman, RK Pauchuri, says children are tools to utilize in fight against climate change, and can ’shame adults into taking right steps

Interviewer:

“What do you see as the tools, the next tools that you could try to utilize to try to create change?”

Pachauri:

“Children. I think we have sensitize the young, and tell them how their futures are going to be affected if you don’t take action today. And I think children are by and large very sensitive, and they understand. They know what’s at stake. And I think if we can get them to understand the seriousness of the problem, they will probably shame adults into taking the right steps.”

That speaks for itself.

DeMint Launches Rubio Money-Bomb

Rubio Moneybomb

The Senate Republicans, they hold a grudge of sorts --- They blame Jim DeMint for pushing Arlen Specter to the Democrats. Even the editorial board of the Wall Street Journal attacked Jim DeMint for endorsing Pat Toomey. But now Toomey is beating both Specter and Sestak in the polling.

Then there is Marco Rubio, the target of the present money bomb. The Republican leadership in Washington flocked to Charlie Crist. They launched “on background” attacks against Jim DeMint in Roll Call for daring to step out of line and back Marco Rubio.

Calling all Tea Party people, support Jim Demint and our Florida Senate candidate Marco Rubio.

Important to support this money bomb.

Go here, read the note from Senator DeMint, then give what you can. And if you can give a little extra to help the Senate Conservatives Fund, so much the better.

The WHO: CSI Miami

The WHO who played 'Won't Get Fooled Again' at last night's Super Bowl -- It's CSI: Miami's theme song. And you thought the song meant we wouldn't be fooled by the criminals and then you find yourself staring at a new Constitution, the change had to come. So fooled by WHO? This is a published near the end of the Vietnam War and is a 1970s radical's(progressive ?) song BTW. First published in 1971 on the record "WHO's Next".

Context and lyrics help understanding.

I would bet this was the only thing the Super Bowl audience knew about them, if they even knew that.

LYRICS:
We'll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgment of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
And I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
Don't get fooled again

Change it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the fall that's all
But the world looks just the same
And history ain't changed
'Cause the banners, they all flown in the last war

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
And I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
Don't get fooled again
No, no!

I'll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half alive
I'll get all my papers and smile at the sky
For I know that the hypnotized never lie

Do ya?

There's nothing in the street
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Is now the parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution

Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
Don't get fooled again
No, no!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Eugenics: SC Justice Ginsberg

And now it all makes sense ...

Rep. Joseph Pitts, a Republican from Pennsylvania, had a strong reaction to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s comments about doing away with useless eaters “we don’t want to have too many of.” Pitts declared Ginsburg’s “eugenics way of thinking debases all human life” and he expressed shock that a Supreme Court justice would suggest certain categories of people are not worthy of life and should have been aborted.

On July 9, there was a prevailing and yet predictable silence on the part of the corporate media in response to the SCOTUS eugenicist.

“The mainstream media has been missing in action once again, by completely ignoring an astonishing comment made by Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg concerning the ostensible reasons — in her opinion, rooted in eugenics — for the ruling in Roe v. Wade,” John Kinsellagh wrote for the Examiner on July 13.

On July 14, a blog on the U.S. News & World Report website attempted to explain Ginsburg’s “curious comment.” Dan Gilgoff mentioned that “conservatives” have “pounced on the lines as evidence that Ginsburg supports eugenics, or selective human breeding.” Gilgoff added that there was “much less chatter about this on liberal blogs, but Media Matters argues that Ginsburg was speaking about public opinion about Roe and abortion, not about her own opinion.”

In other words, according to Media Matters, it is not Ginsberg who is the eugenicist, but the American people.

“Ginsburg isn’t 100 percent clear that she’s personally sympathetic to the view that abortion should be used to control the growth of certain populations,” Gilgoff concludes.

Sarah in Texas -- Gov Perry Rally

The rock star on stage yesterday at the Berry Center was Ted Nugent who “got out of a Texas deer stand” to come and play the National Anthem. The rock star reception; however, was reserved for the event headliner, Sarah Palin. The former governor of Alaska did not fail to deliver.

Rasmussen has Perry at 44%, U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison at 29% and upstart challenger Debra Medina at 16%.

Yesterday’s event was all about proving Rick Perry’s conservative credentials, and showing those Tea Party conservatives that Perry can run with their pack due to his relationship with Palin.

Just In Time: AGW Collaspes

Sen. Boxer Asks Obama How Government Works

Via Accuracy in Media

I doubt she understands how our Republic even works. From the dumb and clueless Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) asked President Obama if he needed Congress to act on bank lending or could he force them to lend by executive order.

Is this three-term Senator so clueless that she has to publicly ask the President whether or not Congress needs to act or can he just handle the issue with a stroke of his pen? And what was all that about 64% of jobs being created by small business? If she understands that then why is she going along with Obama's job killing spending and taxes?

Republicans are in a spirited battle to replace Boxer in November and if this video is an example of her abilities then maybe the voters in California will be looking for a change to someone who actually knows what they are talking about.

At the very least Boxer can serve as the poster child for term limits.

CAll Your Democrat Friends And Ask Them ...

How much global warming are you getting at your house this weekend.

Here is a great ad by the Virginia Republican Party that urges voters to call two Virginia Democrat Representatives and "tell them how much Global Warming you get this weekend." The ad uses the very harsh winter, and the record snowfall slamming Virginia and other states to hammer Democrat Representatives Rick Boucher, and Tom Perriello, who supported Global Warming-inspired Cap and Trade Legislation that passed the House.

Happy 99th Ronald Reagan ....

Today is the 99th anniversary of the birth of the greatest American in living memory!

“You and I are told increasingly we have to choose between a left or right. Well I’d like to suggest there is no such thing as a left or right. There’s only an up or down.”

Ronald Reagan from “A Time for Choosing” October 27, 1964 (video, text)

Freedom Is The Reason

The silent majority will be silent no more.

From the films producer: They came first for the gun owners, And I didn't speak up because I wasn't a gun owner; And then they came for the smokers, And I didn't speak up because I wasn't a smoker; And then they came for the gas guzzlers, And I didn't speak up because I wasn't a gas guzzler; And then . . . they came for me . . . And by that time there was no one left to speak up."

... loosely based on a poem attributed to Pastor Martin Niemöllerthe original is as follows:

First they came for the Communists,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I wasn’t a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I wasn’t a Jew.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me,
and by that time there was no one
left to speak up for me.

Andrew Breitbart to Media at Tea Party Convention: "It's You That Sucks"

He is so right. "It's not your business model that sucks... It's YOU that sucks!"

"That my friend, is not media bias. It's contempt for the American people."

And Then There Is Sarah ...

New motto ? "America is ailin’, we need Palin"

Some of her best advice, pay attention. The silent majority can be silent no more, else we lose our country in the slumber.

In what may be a preview of her speech tonight at the Tea Party Nation convention in Nashville, Sarah Palin fired up record Kansas crowd last night with talk of bailouts, spending and terrorists:

“The former governor of Alaska drew some of the loudest applause at the Bicentennial Center when she criticized law enforcement officials for questioning a suspected Christmas Day airplane bomber for only 50 minutes before reading him Miranda rights.

“We need a commander in chief, not a professor of constitutional law,” she said as her words drowned in applause. About 6,000 people filled the arena.

Palin said that investigators should have asked more questions of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab before granting him Miranda rights, a right to remain silent and contact a lawyer.

“Treating this threat as a mere law enforcement matter places our country at a grave risk,” she said.

That resonated with several people after the nearly 40-minute speech ended.

“I think my new motto is ‘America is ailin’, we need Palin,’ ” said Wayne Burke, a minister from Arkansas City.”

Palin was the guest speaker at the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce’s banquet where she urged Kansans to “pay attention to what’s happening in Washington, D.C., and hold politicians accountable.” Audio is here.

The Tea Party Nation convention organizers previously announced that Palin’s speech will be broadcast live Saturday via PJTV, FOX News, CNN and Reuters TV. It is scheduled for 8:00 PM CST(9:00 PM EST). May as well tune into FOX News, who has said they plan on broadcasting her entire speech.

Obama's Budget Is 'Fiscal Insanity': Sen. Gregg

President Obama's economic policies are promoting 'fiscal insanity' that is leading the nation down the path of insolvency, Sen. Judd Gregg (R)-NH told CNBC Monday.

"We're going to get ourselves into deep, deep trouble here if we continue to pursue this course of fiscal insanity, in my opinion," said Gregg, a ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee, said in a live interview.

"It's not just this year, which is the issue of stimulus," Gregg added. "It's the year after, it's the year after that and the year after, eight years out the president is projecting a trillion dollar deficit, a trillion dollars every year for the next eight years, that's not acceptable. You just cant do that to this country because you're basically taking us down the road of insolvency."
