Get Off My Plane
Reporters from three newspapers that endorsed John McCain have reportedly been told that they can't travel aboard Barack Obama's plane in the final days leading before Election Day.
...
The Washington Times reported Friday that it was notified of the Obama campaign's decision Thursday evening -- even though the paper has covered Obama from the start.Executive Editor John Solomon told FOXNews.com that the Obama campaign said it didn't have enough seats on the plane, but "I don't think the explanation makes sense to us."
...
The New York Post and Dallas Morning News also have been kicked off Obama's plane, according to the Web site The Drudge Report. It said the three reporters were told to find alternative transportation by Sunday so that the plane could accommodate "network bigwigs" and reporters from two black magazines, Essence and Jet.
Ask slow Joe Biden an uncomfortable question? You're out. Don't endorse Obama? You're out.
An odd mix of authoritarianism and fragility on display here.
The Lesson Of The Pies
Reminded me of something Michelle Obama said back in April 2008
Unfortunately --- First they come with free pies, then they run out of bakers, then they run out of pies ... and come back with censorship ... and then they run out of patience ... and come back with coercion ... and then coercion doesn't work, they come back with gulags ... and when that fails, then assassinations.Michelle Obama apparently takes a dim view of the notion that a ising tide lifts all ships:
Most Americans, she said, don't want much.
"They don't want the whole pie," she told the women. "There are some who do, but most Americans feel blessed just being able to thrive a little bit. But that is becoming even more out of reach."...
"If we don't wake up as a nation with a new kind of leadership...for how we want this country to work, then we won't get universal health care," she said.
"The truth is, in order to get things like universal health care and a revamped education system, then someone is going to have to give up a piece of their pie so that someone else can have more."
Give up a piece of their pie, or is Michelle going to take it away? Either way, it's pretty clear that our aspiring first lady's appreciation of economics is about as deep as her pride in America. And of course, it helps if you have a slumlord friend to help you get your piece of the pie. As long as everyone has a slumlord friend for such purposes, we all can have plenty of pie!
It's all in Ayers hate filled rant of a book.

Readership Crisis
A special tribute came from Khalidi's friend and frequent dinner companion, the young state Sen. Barack Obama. Speaking to the crowd, Obama reminisced about meals prepared by Khalidi's wife, Mona, and conversations that had challenged his thinking. This Kahlidi fellow was a spokesman for the terror group the PLO, remember them?
His many talks with the Khalidis, Obama said, had been "consistent reminders to me of my own blind spots and my own biases. . . . It's for that reason that I'm hoping that, for many years to come, we continue that conversation -- a conversation that is necessary not just around Mona and Rashid's dinner table," but around "this entire world."
One speaker likened "Zionist settlers on the West Bank" to Osama bin Laden, saying both had been "blinded by ideology."Yes, it was one heck of a Jew bashing celebration they had.
Though Khalidi has seen little of Sen. Obama in recent years, Michelle Obama attended a party several months ago celebrating the marriage of the Khalidis' daughter.Still friends though, another 'just afellow on my block. Isn't it odd that The naive One has so many fellows on his block that normal Americans wouldn't even give the time of day to. Really weird The naive One thinks he can lead a free liberty loving country, to Socialism, because he can read agood speech. Most people call that just acting. Like when he clasped his hands when the National Anthem was played, or how he explained why he doesn't wear a flag pen. My favorite is how Obama explains America's fatal flaw, our written Constitution, which he wants to do away with.
I wonder what is causing this?
Could it be the constant hammering on their readers with liberal bull crap that is driving readers away? Could it be, most find the Internet and it's choices, much more to their liking? I haven't subscribed to a newspaper in years. Same with magazines. Don't need ether -- Who says being green is hard.Oh yeah, the LA Times offers up sacrifices, more newsroom layoffs. And so does the liberal Time Inc.

Obama, Spread The Wealth Redistribution
John McCain: tortured by Communists
Barack Obama: tutored by Communists
Who you gonna vote for?
The MAVERICKS?
or the
MARX BROTHERS?
Rev. Wright's New Home
And how did he get there ...
... Obama's Pastor of 20 plus years, here is a sample clip of the Sunday sermon.
The First American Socialist Experiment
A group of separatists first fled to Holland and established a community. After eleven years, about forty of them agreed to make a perilous journey to the New World, where they would certainly face hardships, but could live and worship God according to the dictates of their own consciences.
On August 1, 1620, the Mayflower set sail. It carried a total of 102 passengers, including forty Pilgrims led by William Bradford. On the journey, Bradford set up an agreement, a contract that established just and equal laws for all members of the new community, irrespective of their religious beliefs. Where did the revolutionary ideas
expressed in the Mayflower Compact come from? From the Bible. The Pilgrims were a people completely steeped in the lessons of the Old and New Testaments. They looked to the ancient Israelites for their example.
But this was no pleasure cruise. The journey to the New World was a long and arduous one. And when the Pilgrims landed in New England in November, they found, according to Bradford's own detailed journal, a cold, barren, desolate wilderness. There were no friends to greet them, he wrote. There were no houses to shelter them. There were no
inns where they could refresh themselves.
And the sacrifice they had made for freedom was just beginning. During the first winter, half the Pilgrims – including Bradford's own wife – died of either starvation, sickness or exposure. When spring finally came, Native Americans taught the settlers how to plant corn, fish for cod and skin beavers for coats. Life improved for the Pilgrims, but they did not yet prosper!
This is important to understand because this is where modern American history lessons often end. Thanksgiving is actually explained in some textbooks as a holiday for which the Pilgrims gave thanks to the Natives for saving their lives, rather than as a devout expression of gratitude grounded in the tradition of both the Old and New
Testaments.
Here is the part that has been omitted: The original contract the Pilgrims had entered into with their merchant-sponsors in London called for everything they produced to go into a common store, and each member of the community was entitled to one common share. All of the land they cleared and the houses they built belong to the community as well.
Bradford, who had become the new governor of the colony, recognized that this form of collectivism was as costly and destructive to the Pilgrims as that first harsh winter, which had taken so many lives. He decided to take bold action. Bradford assigned a plot of land to each family to work and manage, thus turning loose the power of the
marketplace.
That's right. Long before Karl Marx was even born, the Pilgrims had discovered and experimented with what could only be described as SOCIALISM...and what happened? It didn't work! Surprise, surprise, huh? What Bradford and his community found was that the most creative and industrious people had no incentive to work any harder than anyone else, unless they could utilize the power of personal motivation!
But while most of the rest of the world has been experimenting with socialism for well over a hundred years – trying to refine it, perfect it, and re-invent it – the Pilgrims decided early on to scrap it permanently. What Bradford wrote about this social experiment should be in every schoolchild's history lesson. If it were, we might prevent much needless suffering in the future.
"The experience that we had in this common course and condition, tried sundry years...that by taking away property, and bringing community into a common wealth, would make them happy and flourishing – as if they were wiser than God," Bradford wrote. "For this community [so far as it was] was found to breed much confusion and discontent, and retard much employment that would have been to their benefit and
comfort. For young men that were most able and fit for labor and service did repine that they should spend their time and strength to work for other men's wives and children without any recompense...that was thought injustice."
Do you understand what he was writing? The Pilgrims found that people could not be expected to do their best work without incentive. So what did Bradford's community try next? They unharnessed the power of free enterprise by invoking the under girding capitalistic principle of private property. Every family was assigned its own plot of land to work and permitted to market its own crops and products. And what was the result?
"This had very good success," wrote Bradford, "for it made all hands industrious, so as much more corn was planted than otherwise would have been." Bradford doesn't sound like much of a Liberal, does he? Is it possible that supply-side economics could have existed before the 1980s? Yes. Read the story of Joseph and Pharaoh in Genesis 41.
Following Joseph's suggestion (Gen 41:34), Pharaoh reduced the tax on Egyptians to 20% during the "seven years of plenty" and the "Earth brought forth in heaps." (Gen. 41:47)
In no time, the Pilgrims found they had more food than they could eat themselves. So they set up trading posts and exchanged goods with the Native Americans. The profits allowed them to pay off their debts to the merchants in London. And the success and prosperity of the Plymouth settlement attracted more Europeans and began what came to be known as the "Great Puritan Migration."
Now, let me ask you: Have you read this history before? Is this lesson being taught to your children today? If not, why not? Can you think of a more important lesson one could derive from the Pilgrim experience?

The Ten Cannots
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.-- Rev. William John Henry Boetcker
You cannot help small men by tearing down big men.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.
You cannot help the poor man by destroying the rich.
You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than your income.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot establish security on borrowed money.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away men's initiative and independence.
You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves.
The Ten Cannots"" were written in 1916 by the Rev. William J. H. Boetcker, a Presbyterian clergyman and pamphlet writer. In 1942, a group called the Committee for Constitutional Government gave out a great many leaflets entitled "Lincoln on Limitations" that contained on one side a real Lincoln quote and on the other side the 10 Boetcker statements. Boetcker was credited with his statements on the leaflet, but their proximity in print to one real quote by Lincoln, plus the title of the leaflet, led people to think that Lincoln had said the ten listed statements. They were repeated in many printed sources, and are still regarded by many as authentic Lincoln quotes. Carl Sandburg, Lincoln's most famous biographer, dismissed them as spurious.

Practical Redistribution
Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign the read "Vote Obama, I need the money." I laughed.
Once in the restaurant my server had on a "Obama 08" tie, again I laughed--just imagine the coincidence.
When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need -- the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight.
I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the server inside as I decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful.
At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the actual recipient deserved money more.
I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.

Ayers' New Book: America is a White Supremacist Nation

Product Description:
White supremacy and its troubling endurance in American life is debated in these personal essays by two veteran political activists. Arguing that white supremacy has been the dominant political system in the United States since its earliest days—and that it is still very much with us—the discussion points to unexamined bigotry in the criminal justice system, election processes, war policy, and education. The book draws upon the authors' own confrontations with authorities during the Vietnam era, reasserts their belief that racism and war are interwoven issues, and offers personal stories about their lives today as parents, teachers, and reformers.
About the Author:
William C. Ayers is a distinguished professor of education and a senior university scholar at the University of Illinois–Chicago. He is the author of To Teach: The Journey of a Teacher and Fugitive Days, a memoir about his life with his wife, Bernardine Dohrn. Bernardine Dohrn is the director of the Children and Family Law Justice Center and a clinical associate professor of law at Northwestern University. She is the coauthor of A Century of Juvenile Justice and Justice in the Making. They live in Chicago.

Keep talkin’, Joe
Probably talking about what happens when Iran nukes Israel, and Israel turns the middle east to radioactive dust.“Mark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”
“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. “And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you - not financially to help him - we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”
So if it costs the world a few of the 'stans to Russia, Taiwan to China, South Korea, Colombia to Venezuela and of course the destruction of Israel -- Small price to pay for electing the naive waif of a communist who happens to be black and from Kenya(I think, but if you know for sure, let me know).
America has stood as the protector of democracy worldwide. That may come to an end with the election of the Naive One, and tyranny will have a major rebirth cycle.
Keep talking the truth Jooe, America needs you to.

David Archibald’s Elegant Illustration Of How Late And Weak Solar Cycle 24 Is Proving
At the end of Archibald's speech the President, of Aerospace Forum Asia, took the microphone and asked:
How can you be right and 2,000 scientists wrong?Archibald's answer:
I am happy to share the science. It's all reputable.

David Archibald's explanation of the above graphic is as follows:
There is another way of looking at solar cycles.
Solar cycles actually start with the magnetic reversal near the peak of the previous cycle. The sunspots take seven years to surface and become visible. Almost all sunspot cycles tend to be about 18.5 years long, measured from the peak of the previous cycle.
The above graph compares the average of three cycles, 21 to 23, from the late 20th century with three, 14 to 16, from the late 19th century (which had much colder weather). Also included is Solar Cycle 5, the first half of the Dalton Minimum.
Given we are now 103 months from the peak of Solar Cycle 23, it is now too late to get a late 19th century-type outcome for Solar Cycle 24. Out of the 24 named solar cycles, Solar Cycle 24 is now the latest after Solar Cycle 5.
It is so late that it is now in no man’s land and its weakness is now more of a consideration than lateness in itself.
It is certain that we will be getting a Dalton Minimum-type experience.
David Archibald
It's Not The Plumber, It's Your Answer

Hey Joe, Some Advice
October 16, 2008 Posted by Scott at PowerlineBlog
Not you, Joe Biden. You, Joe the Plumber -- Joe Wurzelbacher. You were the center of attention in last night's debate. Both Barack Obama and John McCain invoked your authority and sought your approval. You proved yourself to be a very powerful man.
You made your name when you told Barack Obama you were afraid he would raise your taxes and Obama responded that he wanted to spread "the wealth" (i.e., your wealth) around. In American political lore Abraham Lincoln sowed the seeds of his victory over Stephen Douglas in 1860 with a single question at Freeport in the course of their 1858 debates.
You may have had a similar effect. Whether or not you choose to step forward and make your own case, your statement and Obama's response will serve as a marker in the days to come.
With your question you may have become the most famous critic of Barack Obama in the United States. That's quite a distincition when prominent writers such as Stanley Kurtz, David Fredosso and Michael Barone are still working to expose Obama's unsavory views and associations. You showed how one man can make a difference.
You may have heard that Obama doesn't take kindly to critics. Indeed, Michael Barone refers to an Obama presidency as "the coming thugocracy." In the old song "Hey, Joe," Joe has shot his "old lady." He has to head out to Mexico in order to stay free.
You didn't do anything wrong. All you did was say you want to be free. I'm thinking that if Obama is elected president you too may have to head "down to Mexico way" to stay free, but we need you to stick around.

Honesty is breaking out all over in the Democrat camp. Everybody wants in on the play. Obama admitted he would be taxing small businesses to 'spread the wealth', and Jesse Jackson just admitted Obama plans to leave Israel to fend for its own survival alone:
The most important change would occur in the Middle East, where “decades of putting Israel’s interests first” would end.
Jackson believes that, although “Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades” remain strong, they’ll lose a great deal of their clout when Barack Obama enters the White House.

Sad, But True
"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship." -- UnknownEventually, everyone wants to be first inline, for the free stuff, before they run out.

Hiding The ACORN
Barack Obama's Involvement with ACORN Unearthed, Missing Article Recovered
While Barack Obama's connection with the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) has not gone entirely unreported, it has not been fully explained. Most media background pieces simply note Obama's involvement in a 1995 lawsuit on behalf of ACORN. Obama's own website, as well as most major media, fail to reveal the full depth and extent of his relationship with the organization.
Attempts to hide evidence of Obama's involvement with ACORN have included wiping the web clean of potentially damaging articles that had appeared, and were previously publicly accessible. Unfortunately, those behind the attempted cover-up failed to realize that in today's day and age, nothing disappears forever. There also exists another layer of the web, the hidden web, which is full of information included in proprietary scholarly databases where these very same "missing" articles can be easily uncovered.
Problem With Warming
Today saw the lowest high temperature ever recorded for an Oct. 11 in the Las Vegas valley, according to the National Weather Service. The high temperature was a mere 60 degrees -- 23 degrees below the normal high temperature for the date. The reading, taken at the weather service's station at McCarran International Airport, also shattered the previous record low high of 65 degrees, recorded in 1997.
A low pressure system out of the Gulf of Alaska is to thank for the chilly temperatures, weather service meteorologist Barry Pierce said.
Temperatures are expected to rise to the mid-80s by the middle of the week. Sunday and Monday should be breezy with high temperatures in the high 60s to low 70s.

Bicycling In The Snow
Big snow flakes fell early Friday evening, turning Downtown Boise into a giant snow globe for people on their way home from work. The snow caught many people off guard, including this bicyclist heading down Idaho Street between 8th and 9th around 5:45 p.m. Across the Treasure Valley, tree branches heavy with wet, snow-covered leaves fell on power lines, causing scattered power outages. Even the trees were caught off guard, normally by snow time, it's customary for northern tree species to jettison their leaves to prevent just this kind branch breaking oops.
This is the earliest measurable snowfall in Boise since record keeping began in 1898, according to the National Weather Service.
At 10 p.m., the Weather Service said 1.7 inches of snow had fallen. The previous earliest recorded snowfall was Oct. 12, 1969, when a little more than an inch fell. And if the snow wasn't enough, meteorologists say winds across southwestern Idaho will average 25 to 40 mph through Saturday afternoon, with gusts up to 55 mph. Sustained winds of 30 to 40 mph are expected, which can make driving difficult.

Corrupt Democrats
Did you know that these Government Sponsored Enterprises, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, did that ??
Even the reliably-liberal BBC says that deregulation wasn’t the cause of the financial crisis. Other liberal journalists like Washington Post columnist Sebastian Mallaby have made the same point. The government-sponsored mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac played a big role in spawning the mortgage crisis. Lawmakers like Rep. Barney Frank blocked crucial reforms that might have reined them in. Now, Frank is trying to change the subject, claiming that critics of Fannie and Freddie are, you guessed it, racist. Fannie Mae also engaged in fraud and political bullying of uncooperative Banks.

The U.S. Faces Serious Risks of Brownouts or Blackouts in 2009, Study Warns
Enviro Group Lawsuits, Cost Concerns, Climate Regulation Uncertainty Cited As Major Obstacles To Grid ImprovementsA new study released this week highlights what experts have been saying for years: the U.S. faces significant risk of power brownouts and blackouts as early as next summer that may cost tens of billions of dollars and threaten lives.
The study, "Lights Out In 2009?" warns that the U.S. "faces potentially crippling electricity brownouts and blackouts beginning in the summer of 2009, which may cost tens of billions of dollars and threaten lives."
"If particularly vulnerable regions, like the Western U.S., experience unusually hot temperatures for prolonged periods of time in 2009, the potential for local brownouts or blackouts is high, with significant risk that local disruptions could cascade into regional outages that could cost the economy tens of billions of dollars," the report warned.
U.S. baseload generation capacity reserve margins "have declined precipitously to 17 percent in 2007, from 30-40 percent in the early 1990s," according to the study. A 12-15 percent capacity reserve margin is the minimum required to ensure reliability and stability of the nation’s electricity system. Compounding this capacity deficiency, the projected U.S. demand in the next ten years is forecast to grow by 18 percent, far exceeding the projected eight percent growth in baseload generation capacity between now and 2016.
The study, which can be downloaded here, estimated that the U.S. will require about 120 gigawatts (GW) of new generation just to maintain a 15 percent reserve margin. That will require at least $300 billion in generation and transmission facility investments by 2016.
The problem can be defined in simple terms, we are not installing enough power generation capacity for what is known as "base load", the backbone of the grid. Things like nuclear power plants, which are only used for base load.
You have been warned.

Call for ‘grassroots effort’ to help boost campaign
By Aaron Klein
© 2008 WorldNetDaily
The names of four former top leaders of the Weathermen terrorist organization are listed as signatories on an online petition calling for an “independent grassroots effort” to help strengthen Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign.
The petition was initiated by Progressives for Obama, an independent organization acting to ensure the Illinois senator’s election.
Progressives includes among its ranks many former members of the 1960s radical organization Students for a Democratic Society, or SDS, from which the Weathermen splintered, as well as current and former members of other radical organizations, such as the Communist Party USA and the Black Radical Congress.

The Silent Sun’s Uncertain Course

by Clive Cookson
Experts are reluctant to predict the consequences for Earth and its inhabitants because there are so many complex interactions between the Sun’s output, the planet’s atmosphere and magnetic field, and cosmic radiation from outer space. Some climatologists say that, over a period of decades, a quieter Sun means a cooler Earth, although the relationship between solar activity and climate is particularly controversial. The silent Sun’s uncertain course
